The Oxford to Cambridge growth corridor is one of the most seriously water stressed area in the country, yet it continue to be recognised by successive governments for its strong potential for growth and innovation. Supporting sustainable growth in this region depends on a healthy, thriving environment. However, there are key challenges to be aware of including water supply pressures, water quality concerns, healthy river and flood risk. You have a role to play in promoting sustainable land use and development. This study focused on local planning policies to highlight opportunities rather than constraints by examining how water is currently considered and how local policies can be improved to better support the water system.
